Hold On To Your Butts is a show where two actors and a foley artist recreate Jurassic Park. The show was really funny, although I have not seen the original film I was still able to enjoy the performance. I believe that seeing the film would only have increased my enjoyment of the show as there was an extremely clever use of props and costumes.
The venue was less than ideal with the tiered seating not being staggered enough to provide all audience members a good view. Much of the comedy was physical and therefore this was a big problem but not the fault of the show. The show is great but I don’t see it outgrowing the hour of fringe entertainment it currently is.
Overall, the show was extremely funny and if you are a fan of the original film I would definitely recommend this show.
