The Importance of Being… Earnest?

The traditional play of The Importance of Being Earnest but the actors are slowly replaced with members of the audience. The trick with this show is it still manages to convey the plot with fewer and fewer members of the cast and little to no onstage scripts. Towards the end of the play there were no actors onstage and all the parts were played by the audience.

The control the actors had to be able to continue the show with fewer and fewer of the original actors was incredible. Whilst this was a fun hour of theatre it heavily depends on the audience attending and this may be where it falls down.

Overall, I would highly recommend this show as an immensely funny play with a brilliant cast who manage to create such a creative atmosphere that audiences feel comfortable enough to be able to join this great play.
